EID-AL-ADHA 2026 (Post in Arabic, Video in English)
عيد مبارك!
يتقدم مركز مجتمع مسجد مريم في باي ريدج بأحر التهاني والتبريكات لكم ولعائلاتكم بمناسبة عيد الأضحى المبارك.
كما نود أن نحتفي بالوقت الرائع الذي قضيناه خلال عيد الفطر الماضي هنا في قلب باي ريدج، في فعالية كانت الأولى من نوعها.
عن أبي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه قال:
«كان النبي ﷺ يخرج يوم الفطر ويوم الأضحى إلى المصلى».
والمصلى هو مكان الصلاة في الهواء الطلق، مما يعلمنا أن من سنة النبي ﷺ أداء صلاة العيد خارج المسجد.
ومن هذا المنطلق، أقمنا صلاة العيد في حديقة ميلينيوم بلايغراوند (Millennium Playground) هنا في باي ريدج، في شارع 67 بين الجادة الخامسة والجادة السادسة، اقتداءً بسنة نبينا الحبيب ﷺ.
إن توفير مكان لأداء صلاة العيد على مسافة قريبة سيراً على الأقدام من أفراد المجتمع يساهم في معالجة العديد من التحديات المتعلقة بسهولة الوصول، وتكاليف التنقل لمن يستخدمون خدمات النقل التشاركي، بالإضافة إلى صعوبات مواقف السيارات والتنقل.
كما يتيح لنا رؤية إخواننا وأخواتنا المسلمين الذين نلتقي بهم ونتعامل معهم يومياً، ومشاركتهم فرحة هذا اليوم المبارك.
والأهم من ذلك، أنه يعزز روح المجتمع والوحدة التي تجمعنا كأمة واحدة.
عن النعمان بن بشير رضي الله عنهما أن رسول الله ﷺ قال:
«مثل المؤمنين في توادّهم وتراحمهم وتعاطفهم كمثل الجسد الواحد، إذا اشتكى منه عضو تداعى له سائر الجسد بالسهر والحمى».
فنحن كمسلمين، نعبد الله وحده، ونتبع نبينا محمدًا ﷺ، ومجتمعنا جزء من ديننا، ورابطنا ببعضنا البعض أعمق بكثير من العِرق أو الأصول أو الروابط العائلية.
فهو ما يجمعنا ويمنحنا القوة.
وهو ما يعين الضعفاء والمحتاجين.
وهو ما يرعى أبناءنا وينميهم.
وهو جزء من صلتنا بالله سبحانه وتعالى.
وبفضل الله ثم بدعمكم جميعًا، استطعنا توفير مكان مناسب وميسر لصلاة العيد، وتقديم الطعام والشراب للمصلين، وتوزيع الألعاب، وتوفير أجواء من الفرح والترفيه لأطفالنا الأحباء.
نشكركم جميعًا مرة أخرى على جهودكم ودعائكم ودعمكم المستمر.
كما نتقدم بالشكر إلى إدارة شؤون المجتمع في شرطة مدينة نيويورك والمفوّض فوستر على دعمهم.
ونشكر عضوة مجلس المدينة كايلا سانتو سوو أوسو(Kayla Santosuosso) على دعمها.
كما نتوجه بالشكر إلى أصحاب الأعمال المحلية الذين ساهموا في رعاية هذه الفعالية.
ونسأل الله تعالى أن يصلي ويسلم على نبينا محمد ﷺ وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين.

Masjid Maryam Community Center of Bay Ridge wishes you all a Happy Eid for you and your families!
We also want to celebrate the wonderful time that we had on this past Eid El Fitr - right here in the heart of Bay Ridge, the first of its kind.
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:
The Prophet Peace and Blessings be upon him used to proceed to the Musalla on the days of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha
The Musalla, refers outdoor place of prayer, teaching us that the sunnah was to pray outside on the day of Eid.
And so we held our prayer in Millennium Playground, here in Bay Ridge on 67th Street Between 5th and 6th avenue to follow that tradition of our beloved Prophet PBUH.
Having a place to participate in the Eid Prayer within walking distance of the community addresses issues of accessibility, affordability for those who are taking ridesharing services, and complications with parking and travel.
It also allows us to see and celebrate this joyous day with our Muslim brothers and sisters that we see and interact with on a daily basis.
Most importantly, it reinforces the sense of community, and unity that we have as an ummah.
Al-Nu’man ibn Bashir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”
As Muslims, worshippers of Allah alone, and as followers of Prophet Muhammad PBUH, our community is a part of our religion and our connection is far more than ethnicity or genetics.
It is what holds us together and gives us strength.
It is what helps our weak and needy.
It is what nourishes and grows our youth.
It is a part of our connection with Allah Almighty.
With all of your support we were able to provide a convenient place for the prayer this Eid, Provide food and drinks for those who prayed with us
And hand out toys and a place of joy and entertainment for our beloved Children.
