Day 2 of St. Francis Middle School Orientation

Today, campers fueled up on a delicious breakfast cooked by Fr. Ken to begin their day. They then enjoyed the lake during a competitive, but fun, period of waterfront Olympics. After enjoying lunch and a much needed rest period, campers played a game of Jeopardy. Following this, campers had some more fun in the lake with swimming, tubing, nine square, spike ball, and the popular game of “King of the Raft.” The day ended with a wonderful mass in American Sign Language and a talk on the importance of Brotherhood.

Later, campers enjoyed swimming and tubing during waterfront time. In the evening, campers had fun playing capture the flag- especially in the adult vs. kids game. To conclude the night, campers relaxed around a campfire, enjoyed some s’mores, and played a game of Family Feud.

Today, campers conquered many challenges and fears on the adventure course. Due to unforeseen weather, campers enjoyed a game of Jeopardy, hosted by “Alex Trebek”, aka St. Francis alum Jackson Smalley. Once the rain stopped, they enjoyed a fun-filled game of kickball, followed by a game of pictionary. The day concluded with mass, where Fr. Ken and Joe Wiegers taught “This Little Light of Mine” in American Sign Language.
