TEACHING TUESDAY 📚

This week, Msgr. Malagreca writes about St. Joseph as the brightest example of fatherhood in all of Scripture. He draws out something powerful from Matthew 1:19 — Joseph was described as 'a righteous man' who was 'unwilling to expose her to shame.' That's remarkable. His first instinct toward Mary wasn't judgment. It was protection.

Msgr. Malagreca reminds us that Joseph wasn't just a provider — he shared the anxieties and joys of raising a family, trained Jesus in his own trade, and loved a child who wasn't biologically his as completely as his own. Think about that kind of love. It's not accidental. It's a choice, made daily. Fathers, Msgr. Malagreca says simply: 'Be like Joseph.'

MOTIVATION MONDAY 💪

In this week's bulletin, Msgr. Malagreca challenges us with something worth sitting with: integrity, generosity, honesty, purity — what Scripture calls 'righteousness' — are marks of true manhood. In a culture that often confuses strength with hardness and leadership with control, that's a countercultural idea.

This week, wherever you are — in the office, in your relationships, in the small choices no one else sees — consider what it looks like to be genuinely righteous. Not perfect. Not performing. Just solid. St. Joseph wasn't flashy. He was faithful. That kind of quiet strength still changes everything.

Msg.Malagreca 50th anniversary as a priest was celebrated with family, friends and parishioners last Saturday June 13th. Msgr.Malagreca shared with us his memories as a priest especially meeting our new Pope Leo.

The parishioners of Holy Cross RC Parish and guest came out to celebrate Msgr.Malagreca 50 years as a priest. Many shared wonderful memories with us and many shared how they still see a future with Msgr.Malagreca being part of their lives even after 50 years.

Saturday June 13th the parish of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church celebrated Msgr.Malagreca 50 years as a priest. Many fond memories where shared on that night about Msgr.Malagreca. Msgr.Malagreca thank you for all you do for our Parish!

A GLORIOUS PROCESSION
Jesus truly wanted to walk the streets of our parish last Sunday on June 7th , Corpus Christi. With sunshine but great heat, hundreds of parishioners persevered for a Procession that lasted almost 3 hours!

The Four Altars of Repose
Thank you to the Guadeloupe Family; the Cantaves; ther Newballs and Judy Buirke - you opened your homes to Jesus, and His people could praise Him.
The Children
Many adults helped care for all the children who marched and threw rose petals. Thank you - especially to Dorsette, Donica Allen and Marie Barthelmy!
The Parish Groups
The Altars took on different Biblical Themes: the Holy Cross Helpers did the first altar - "The Samaritan Woman''- where we prayed for those who are searching for Jesus;. The Haitian Prayer Group prepared the Second Altar - ``The Annunciation'' - where we prayed for immigrants. The Hispanic Prayer Group did the third altar - ``The Finding of the Cross'' - where we prayed for our parish. The English Prayer Group did the Beatitudes at the Fourth Altar, where we to prayed for all our needs. Upon returning to In the church , we read "The Great Commission''
The Musicians
Our Procession was filled with beautiful music. Thank you to the Choirs; and to the song leaders - 8:30 Choir; Spanish Choir; Haitian Choir.
Altar Servers and Ushers
Nineteen Altar Servers gave service to Jesus. Many of the Ushers organized and moved us along. A special thanks to Aura Casprowitz who prepared the petal decorations in the church. To all the workers: Thank you!
The Parishioners It is a great joy to gather as a parish in unity with the Body of Christ. Hundreds of parishioners marched. When we returned to church at 4:00 PM, there were still more than 400 people in attendance who had walked with the Risen Christ. Thank you for living faith
