SUNDAY, MAY 24, 10AM. It’s Pentecost Sunday, a day to acknowledge that Christianity is unique because of the gift and power of the Holy Spirit (see Acts 2). Pastor Dan will be teaching on “God dwells among us through his Holy Spirit.” Praise be to God that he gives his Spirit to everyone who repents and believes. We have the power of God through his Spirit to live, serve and glorify him. May God fill us with his Spirit as we live for him today!

BACKGROUND: You may want to review this cornerstone affirmation of the beliefs of our denomination, the Evangelical Covenant Church:
“We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit. The Covenant Church affirms the Trinitarian understanding of one God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The New Testament tells us that the Holy Spirit works both within individuals and among them. We believe it is the Holy Spirit who instills in our hearts a desire to turn to Christ, and who assures us that Christ dwells within us. It is the Holy Spirit who enables our obedience to Christ and conforms us to his image, and it is the Spirit in us that enables us to continue Christ’s mission in the world. The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to us as individuals and binds us together as Christ’s body.”

Our seniors event planners are at it again. Today they provided a plenteous lunch of sloppy joes and all the fixings, plus a spread of dessert bars. As a service opportunity, the theme of filling the food gap for students in our community was addressed by guest speaker Rob Williams, president and founder of the local nonprofit Every Meal. Rob grew up at Redeemer, and we are proud to have him back with us for this event. We learned how nutritious food is gathered and then distributed through school backpacks for students to bring home for the weekend, helping fuel their development and success. Rob challenged us to PRAY, GIVE and VOLUNTEER. Will YOU be the reason a child eats on the weekend?

Good news from Covenant Pines Bible Camp. First-time attendees get $100 off their registration + a FREE care package through May 21.

We recognize that sending your child to camp is a substantial commitment. At Covenant Pines, we want to make sure that all kids get the chance to experience the joys of summer camp and the opportunity to invest in their faith.

In order to help make that investment a reality, from May 8-21 any first-time campers will receive $100 off their registration fee, plus a free care package! If you’re a returning camper, tell a friend so they can take advantage of this opportunity and see what camp is all about.

Post high school through 30s - Here’s something just for you! Group Bible Study meets twice monthly on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 6:30pm in Cafe Commons.

All done with high school? Finishing up college? Working full-time? In transition? Still deciding? Young adults can discover that developing friendships is comfortable and growing in faith is exciting through many Redeemer group activities including this Bible study. Ashley and Santi are leading “Essentials of Faith.”
