Another year of confirmation is in the books! Last night, confirmation kids and families gathered together to celebrate and reflect on the learning we've shared this year. We made a mosaic that reminded us of the story of Pentecost--people of many different gifts and backgrounds and perspectives coming together to be one church. We prayerfully pondered questions like:
-What is one of your spiritual gifts that you can share with God's church?
-What is a Bible story we learned about this year that sticks with you?
-What is one word that describes God?
-Where do you experience God in your own life?
-What is one prayer you have for God's church?

Below is just a glimpse of some of those answers. Folks, with our young people, God's church is in good hands!

This last weekend, the 137 church communities in the Minneapolis Area Synod of the ELCA gathered for our annual assembly. We are thrilled to share that Carolyn Davis, member at Cross of Glory, was elected to the position of Vice President of the Synod. We got to bless her and pray for her on Sunday...join us in thanking God for the gifts Carolyn will be sharing in this role, and for the ways God's Spirit is alive and on the move in the Church!

Join us as we lift our neighbors at HCMC in prayer!

Join the ISAIAH 24-Hour Prayer Vigil for HCMC this Thursday. On Thursday, April 30th from 10:00am to Friday, May 1st at 10:00am, ISAIAH is organizing a 24-hour prayer vigil at Hennepin County Medical Center to hold in prayer the staff and patients—many of whom are low-income and uninsured—at a hospital currently under threat of closure. This vigil is a public witness of care, solidarity, and community presence. All are welcome to come downtown and participate at any point during the 24 hours.

Location for the prayer vigil will be at the intersection of 8th & Chicago, on the green space by the entrance.

If you’d like to stand in prayer alongside others from Wildfire and the NW Hennepin Conference, the 4:00–7:00 PM window is a shared gathering time.

Several Wildfire clergy will be helping host and lead the vigil from 4–7 PM on the 30th:
• 4:00–5:00 PM – Cross of Glory
• 5:00–6:00 PM – Holy Nativity (Pastor Jason will be there from 5:00 - 6:00pm)
• 6:00–7:00 PM – Valley of Peace

Middle and high schoolers across Minneapolis Lutheran churches had a great time last night at Luther Seminary's Youth Night! They worshipped, they learned about vocation, and yes, they ate a little bit of pizza...

Alleluia! Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed!

Join us at Cross of Glory at 9:30 AM for Easter worship as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, the God who--out of the pit of death--comes back to life, and brings us back to life too. Alleluia!

What a powerful way to enter into Holy Week, walking with 50 folks from Cross of Glory, a couple hundred from our fellow Wildfire churches, and 10,000 Minnesotan neighbors across denomination as we prayed, processed, and worshipped with our feet!
