SGI Boston - Nichiren Buddhists SGI-USA is an American lay Buddhist organization practicing the life-affirming philosophy of Nichiren Buddhism.

Through the daily practice of chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo-the title of the Lotus Sutra-members call forth their innermost courage, wisdom, and compassion to overcome challenges in their daily life. Engaging in an ongoing process of inner transformation, members of the SGI-USA strive to realize their highest potential and find happiness in a challenging and complex world. SGI-USA is a part of Soka Gakkai International(SGI), a network of 12 million members in 192 countires and territories.
