This Sunday, September 13th, Sunday Services move back inside the Church for the fall, winter, and spring. The start time moves to 10:30AM. We hope you will join us in worship. All are welcome! If you've been curious to check out a service at Church of Our Saviour, please do come! We'd love to welcome you. We're located at 25 Monmouth Street, Brookline, MA (conveniently down the street from the St. Mary's Green Line stop). Parking is available in the lot next door for the Sunday service and childcare is provided.

They will perform works by Glière, Bartók, Borodin, Piazzolla, and more! This event is not ticketed, though a suggested donation of $25 is appreciated.

Following the performance, they invite you to stay for a talkback - an informal conversation where you can meet the duo, ask questions, and learn more about their work and music-making process.

Summer Services

On Sunday, June 21st we begin our tradition of summer services in the cloister at 10:00AM. These services began sometime in the mid-twentieth century. Cloister services offer several advantages: the church becomes stiflingly hot, the cloister is a better fit for the smaller summer congregation and there’s a sense of being closer to God’s creation. Church outside brings a welcome change of scenery and sense of being closer in community. We hope you’ll consider dropping by and bring along family or friends who may be visiting. The Rector assures that the summer service is always about 50 minutes long.

It has been customary to recruit readers and ushers on the day, shortly before the service. There is no choir. The Gloria, Sanctus and Agnus Dei are spoken. Hymns are chosen from amongst the favorite “old chestnuts” that can be sung by a small group. We do need volunteers to come a few minutes early to help with setting up chairs and putting them away after the service.

Coffee Hour after the service is a simple iced-tea social: Iced tea, lemonade and a few cookies and fruit. Any donations of snacks are appreciated.

The Easter flowers will be available to take home after the service Sunday, April 12. Beautiful hydrangeas can be planted in your garden! Please help give them a home.
