"As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend" Prov. 27:17. God does something similar with a man.

Steel begins as crude iron ore locked away in the ground. Explosives are used to blast the raw materials from the earth. The crude ore is pulverized and powerful magnets separate the ore from the crushed rock. The ore is then heated to 2700*f and melts. The steelmaker puts the ore through a process of transformation and can use up to 1500 different chemistries to make a custom steel that fits part

icular applications. Finally, the steel is formed and finished. Without Christ, a man is locked away in the depths of sin, like ore trapped in the ground. God must pull him from the darkness and change him. Only then can a man be a useful tool and formidable weapon in his Creator's hand. Only then is he ready to fulfill the purpose for which he was made. Jesus took the crushing and heat of God's wrath so that He could give eternal life to those who repent and believe. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boost. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" Eph. 2:8-10. God, the Master Craftsman, is constantly working with the iron that is the human heart, creating a "masterpiece" out of raw material - us.

Today we had our 3rd men’s luncheon at Broma’s/Hal’s with 14 guys in attendance! After the meal a short devotion on “Six Freedoms We Must All Celebrate This July 4th!”

Also Bro. Chase Ballard shared he and his family have been called by Harmony Baptist Church to be their interim. We were honored to pray over him at the end of our fellowship!

We will have another luncheon in August or September. We encourage anyone that would like to join us to do so. You don’t have to be a member of Macedonia to join us.

Our April Men’s Luncheon was a success! We ate at K&B Seafood yesterday where 11 was in attendance! After our meal we had a short devotion titled “Plight of the Crawdads”! We were challenged to “strive to create a culture of forgiveness, kindness and compassion so our relationships with God and others would be strengthened.”

We talked about setting up a day to “declutter” the bus barn so we can put both vans and the bus inside with not much of a problem.
We are looking at May 9 at 8am!

We will have a Men’s Breakfast May 17th. Our next Men’s Luncheon will be the week of June 15th.

Come enjoy the fellowship and food with us next time!

Couple things coming up this week! Mens Luncheon is scheduled for Monday but I would like to move it to Friday so we can eat at K&B Seafood. Would anyone have a problem with this change in plans? Who all can make it Friday?

Also we have a wheel chair ramp project this week in Hilltop. Which day is best for those that can help, Wednesday or Thursday?

Work day tomorrow at the church starting at 8am.

We need to power wash all of the entrance areas and change out the hvac filters. And anything else y’all might know of. I do not have a power washer so we will need someone to bring one.
