ASSEMBLY FAMILY,
In the aftermath of the May 6 tornado, we want you to know that The Assembly is actively responding to the needs in our community.
We are partnering with Team Hope and are currently coordinating with additional volunteer ministry teams that are preparing to come help with cleanup and recovery efforts throughout our area.
As these teams arrive, our church will be helping provide housing accommodations and meals for volunteers who are coming to serve families affected by the storm.
This is an opportunity for us, as the Church, to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a time when people need hope, encouragement, and practical help the most.
HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP:• Volunteer to assist incoming cleanup teams• Help prepare or provide meals for volunteers• Give financially toward feeding and supporting teams serving our community
We are also asking our church family to help us identify individuals and families who may need cleanup assistance. Our initial priority will be:• Elderly individuals with little or no help• Families without insurance assistance• Those facing the greatest immediate needs
If you know of someone in need, or if you would like to serve in any capacity, please contact the church office.
We are still in conversation with additional ministries and organizations that have reached out wanting to partner in relief efforts, and we will continue to keep everyone updated as plans develop.
Church family, thank you for always responding with generosity, compassion, and servant-hearted love. In moments like these, we have the opportunity to do more than clean up debris—we have the opportunity to minister to people and show them the love of Jesus in tangible ways.
Let’s continue to pray, serve, give, and love our community well.
