School’s out and summer is here! ☀️

With that being said, we are so excited to announce “Play Dates at The Brook” that will take place every Tuesday morning during the months of June and July, beginning tomorrow Tuesday, June 2nd from 9:00–11:00 AM!

This is a wonderful opportunity for our kids to have fun and hang out, and for us moms to catch up and enjoy fellowship together.

Please note: this is not a drop-off event. Parents must stay and accompany their child during the play date.

We would love for you to join us — and invite your mom friends too! 💛

Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be no service at The Brook this morning, and we will not be livestreaming.

We encourage you to take time to worship with your family at home, spend time in prayer and God’s Word, or attend another local church service this morning.

While we won’t be gathering together today, remember that the Church is not limited to a building—it’s the people of God wherever they gather.

In 1 Kings 17, Elijah discovers that God’s provision was never attached to a raven, a brook, or even a widow. It was attached to God’s voice. When God said “go,” provision was waiting there.

Tomorrow at The Brook we’ll look at a powerful truth: Sometimes we spend our energy asking God to bless where we are, while God is trying to lead us where He’s already prepared blessing.

Because provision isn’t found by remaining in what’s comfortable or chasing the next best thing. It’s found by following God.

Women of The Brook! Join us tonight at 6:00 for our monthly women’s Bible study. Last month we wrapped up our study on “Leaving LoDebar,” and while we decide together at tonight’s meeting what we will study next, we will be having a special “Heart to Heart” night.

We’ll spend time presenting prayer requests, sharing our hearts with one another, and praying together. Sis. Rebecca will also be sharing some scriptures, so please bring your Bible, pens, and journal!

This will be a refreshing night of growing together in unity as sisters in Christ. Dinner will also be provided. We hope to see you there!

Buried. Slow. Confusing. But buried and planted can look the same for a season.

Elijah at the brook
Ruth in the field
Joseph in the pit & prison
David in the wilderness
Esther for such a time as this
Because God never plants people accidentally.

What a beautiful Sunday at The Brook! 🙌

Even a cut flower can look alive for a little while. Still green. Still standing.
Still beautiful. But eventually it begins to wilt. Because while water can preserve appearance, but it cannot replace connection.

Spiritually, that’s what happens when we try to survive off yesterday’s prayer, yesterday’s encounter, and yesterday’s passion.

Jesus said: “Remain in Me.” Because fresh fruit requires fresh connection. 🍇

PENTECOST SUNDAY AT THE BROOK 🔥🕊️

John 15 reminds us that branches don’t create life, they bear life.
Whatever stays connected lives. Whatever disconnects dries up.

A cut flower can look alive for awhile when placed in water. It can still look green, standing, alive but eventually it begins to wilt. Because you can manufacture appearance but you can’t replace connection!

Pentecost was never just about a moment in an upper room, it was about people becoming connected to the life and power of God. Fresh fruit requires connection. 🍇
