Sunday morning brought a moving reflection from Deacon Steve Przedpelski on finding human connection in life's hardest realities, along with uplifting music from Julie & Keith Fraleigh and Maria O’Connor.

Tie-dye, bubbles, and creativity in full swing at UU Peace Camp! Our campers have been having a wonderful time this week building skills in empathy, cooperation, and respect - all while making art and connecting with friends. Take a look at some of the fun!

Last Sunday, our extended UU community came together as we hosted congregations from United Unitarian Universalist Congregation and Lake Country Unitarian Universalist Church. Rev. Jill Braithwaite led our worship on “Fractals, Universalism, and Liberating Love,” which filled our morning building friendships and strengthening ties across our neighboring congregations.

Members from three local congregations—Unitarian Church North, First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee, and Unitarian Universalist Church West—came together on Saturday at the Fond du Lac Ave Food Festival. Representing Black Lives Matter To Wisconsin Unitarian Universalists (BLM2WUU), our team partnered with Mr. Maurice Wince and the team Sherman Park Grocery Store to sort, pack, and distribute bags of free fresh fruits and vegetables to festival-goers. We're grateful for the connection and look forward to future partnerships across Milwaukee's communities of color!

Nourishing body and soul. While their days were spent building homes in the Dominican Republic, their evenings were spent building community. Volunteers from UUCW, Lake Country Unitarian Universalist Church, and United Unitarian Universalist Congregation worked and ate alongside local workers and families. These shared moments reinforced a deep commitment to interconnectedness and global partnerships.
