Our Little Stone Church That Rocks is unique in that we are a small rural church with a vibrant spirit of community. Some of our members and friends come from 30-40 minutes away to join us each week to share stories, laughs, tragedies, and triumphs. We come to share our lives with one another. We have a depth of musicianship that is pleasantly surprising, and a Religious Education program that is stimulating and entertaining for the children.

THIS WEEK AT THE BUUC

Stone Soup – Wednesday, June 3rd at 12:00pm. Come catch up with friends and have lunch together. Attendees are invited to bring their lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided. Stone Soup will take a break for the summer and resume in the fall.

Annual Meeting ─ BUUC’s annual meeting will be on Sunday, June 7th, directly after service. This will be an in-person meeting. If you have signed our Membership book, you are eligible to vote on the important items of church business for the upcoming church year, including our annual budget, so please plan to attend.

Games at the BUUC – Our next game day will be on Sunday, June 7th, following both Fellowship Hour and the Annual Meeting. This will be the last one until next fall, and we'd love to have you join us for play and laughter. If you've never come, we typically have about 10 people, and based on the size of the group we decide what to play. We are usually there for 1.5─2 hours. Come play!

Choir Practice – Thursday, 6:55-8:30pm

Join us Sunday, May 17th, at 10:30am at the church and streaming on Zoom.*

“Be an Ancestor”
Worship Leader: Rev. Alice Anacheka-Nasemann
Guest Speaker: Celeste Lecesne
Music: BUUC Choir

BUUC is thrilled to welcome Celeste Lecesne (they/them) to our community this week. Celeste is an actor, author, screenwriter, and activist who wrote the Academy Award-winning short film Trevor (1995). They co-founded The Trevor Project in 1998, and more recently co-founded the FutURe Perfect Project, a national arts initiative that amplifies the voices of LGBTQIA youth.

Instead of our usual fellowship hour, there will be a one-act play at a local reception following the service. Information on the location will be provided at church Sunday morning. This event is a fundraiser for the FutURe Perfect Project—we hope you will give as generously as you are able.

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Several members of the BUUC choir will perform with the Wings of Song community chorus in their spring concerts, "Spring and Summer in the British Isles," this Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy songs to celebrate the season, including sing-alongs, and learn a bit of history too! Free admission, refreshments following the show.

THIS WEEKEND!! Wings of Song presents Spring and Summer in the British Isles. Songs range from the 13th to the 20th century!

“As always with Wings of Song, there’s something here for everyone. Also for everyone is the sweet balm of tuneful melodies, and sylvan and pastoral scenes. Perhaps we all have need of this gentleness and peace and beauty - a kind of refuge or haven in these times.” - Nym Cooke, Director
