Oh Lord, as we look forward to a long Labor Day Weekend,
We thank you for the blessing of work.
We ask for the strength to complete each day.
We ask for rest when we are weary.
We ask that employers respect their workers.
We ask that workers are responsible to their jobs.
We ask for guidance for those seeking employment.
We ask that you open opportunities for them.
Give them the courage and confidence to walk through those open doors.
We pray for small local businesses who are struggling: remind people to shop local and help build their community.
We also remember all those who work tirelessly every day behind the scenes.
We ask your blessing on those who we never see but who work for us all.
We thank you Lord that YOU are always working for us too.
Thank you Lord! Amen.

VBS Vaction Bible School

Father God,
We lift up the Bridges Basketball Camp that has been going on.
We thank you for the coaches, volunteers and participants.
We ask that they will keep a sense of humor, and treat everyone with courtesy.
We pray that you will help them play with all their energy and strength.
We ask that you give the leaders the energy to keep up.
We ask that they will learn to play in a Christ-like manner.
Help them to play in a way that fosters goodwill, teamwork and makes great memories for them to cherish the rest of their lives.
Help them to learn to play to the best of their abilities.
Let them have fun, make friends and celebrate the life that You give.
Show them opportunities to build each other up, spiritually, emotionally and physically.
Strengthen their characters and draw them closer to You so that even when the camp is over, they will know that You are with them. Amen

Special requests
Lord we lift up the VBS that is going on this week at the Northern Cheyenne reservation in Montana. Let the children learn about you through fun and games and let the youth feel closer to you during their campout.
Let this be a positive experience for all.
Lord as we plan for our own VBS , we ask that you give us the volunteers that we need and the children from the area as participants. Bless this ministry. Amen
