JamaiGhan Sports Development in Jamaica and Ghana

JamaiGhan Sports Development in Jamaica and Ghana Mission: Promoting Christian and Social Values through Business in Sports in Two of the Most Beautiful Places on Earth. Join us in playing a part in this area.

Recognising the importance of sports in social, physical, economic and spiritual development, we decided to use some of our God given gifts to encourage the development of sports in our countries of birth - Jamaica and Ghana. In November 2011, we went to Ghana where we donated 2 trophies to the Schools and Colleges Sports Federation, Ashanti Region - Boys' Soccer and Girls' Athletics Championships

. We also provided soccer balls, volley balls and whistles for use in various schools including the Osei Kyeretwie High School and the Osei Tutu Secondary High School. It is our conviction that sports promotion can assist in bridging cultural and economic gaps and resolve conflict, while promoting knowledge and skills in various games. Such activities are known to keep the youth away from destructive habits such as illicit drugs and involvement in gangs. At the same time, physical activity promotes health, strength and mental agility, while aiding social tolerance and conflict resolution. Your suggestions, questions, concerns and assistance would be greatly appreciated

Can Otto Addo really read the game as good coaches do? I beg to differ.

As a coach, I feel bad for Ghana. Otto used to play but he is not matured to handle the Blackstars. I will say this a hundred times. Ghana needs to sit back and plan. We need a 5-year development plan as before. I was part of it. We have to go back to it. Let's get the best and qualified personnel to handle the job. I will say a few.

We as Ghanaians and lovers of football don't need a coach now. We need to search for a solution to our fiasco at this AFCON. We need to set up structures for the development of players into our national teams. We must always have a standing team who have been nurtured together over the years locally. We need to develop our local coaches to handle the continuum of players from the U17 to the Senior team. We need to research into our Ghanaian systems of play and develop them into something we can benefit from. We need to form board members from all sectors, including the Schools and Colleges, the University Sports Amalgamation, the Sports Council and the GFA. We have time to do this and do it well. Rushing to find a coach would be like we trying to replace a dead Chief with an equally aged one.

My take on the Solution of the Woes of our Blackstar.
The first of the solutions to our Blackstar woes is to force Okraku and his cohorts to resign. He must leave with his Assistants and adjutant. We as Ghanaians don't need any half baked Ghanaian or an expatriate. The coach must be made to bow out.
The next solution is to get two local coaches of good standing and a good hearted former player of the Blackstar. They must undergo training to develop our own Ghanaian style of play, build philosophies and continuum for our football. Thirdly, football must be developed in the Schools and Colleges from the Primary to the Universities and the Football Academies should be enrolled according to MERIT and not MONEY. Time and Funds must be accorded to the building stage. The board members must comprise a member from the Universities Sports, the Schools and Colleges, the Sports Council and the GFA . This Principle, we must guard and guide it with our hearts and souls. No persons should benefit monetarily from it.
