The Reformed Church of Bronxville

The Reformed Church of Bronxville Belonging. Believing. Becoming. Join us for worship service at 10am each Sunday this summer. You belong here.

The Reformed Church of Bronxville is a family of faith, a home for all, at the heart of the community. We strive to create a community of extraordinary love with Jesus at the center. We do this through gathering in corporate worship, growing in spiritual formation, giving in humble service, and going in Christ-like mission. Our members and visitors come from many faith traditions: Presbyterian, Methodist, Episcopal, Roman Catholic—and Reformed, of course—to name a few. Some are just starting to explore what it means to follow Jesus, while others describe themselves as lifelong Christians. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here.

RCB Friday Devotional: Welcome Home by The Rev. Kibbie Laird

Throughout the Scriptures, home is a powerful concept. No word in the English language stirs the emotions as much as the word home. The Bible is full of stories about places that are sacred, places where people encounter God: the Garden of Eden, the promised land of Canaan. Mount Sinai, Bethlehem, the River Jordan, Nazareth, the Garden of Gethsemane, the Road to Emmaus.

RCB Friday Devotional: What If I Tried By Kate Milliken Vaughey

Earlier this year, my algorithm began feeding me videos of people shuffle dancing.

If you don’t know what shuffle dancing is, imagine a dance that looks effortless until you try to do it yourself. The feet move quickly. The steps are athletic. The dancers glide across the floor with an ease that makes you think, I could probably do that. So, naturally, I got out of my chair and tried and I couldn’t come close.

In a current age/version of torture, the algorithm continued to spam me, and finally, I began to wonder: What if I actually tried to learn?

RCB Friday Devotional: Finding Gratitude by Anne Bennett

I was originally going to begin this devotional by mentioning how the beginning of the school year often brings more obligations, events and happenings. I then realized that regardless of the season, there is always something to be done. Whether it be September and there are sports, activities and school; the holidays, where there are increased family visits and trips to the store for gift-giving; or even the summer, where suddenly you fill your schedule with all the activities and vacations you can never get to during the school year.

RCB Friday Devotional: Caterpillar by Deacon Sophia Okeke

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” - Romans 12:2

“Do you know what I thought about this morning?” I asked my daughter.

“What?” she replied.

“Caterpillars… and how they turn into butterflies. I wonder how God does it?”

Her eyes widened. “Really? That’s exactly what I’m learning about at school! I can tell you the whole process.”

And she did.
