Light of Day Ministries “It is an honor to be carriers of God’s Word and His LIGHT to people for whom His LIGHT has never been shown.” - Stan Mathias

Welcome to the official page of Light of Day Ministries! As mentioned in our vision statement, we are a mobile ministry for God. We have and are prepared to travel both locally and globally; going wherever the Lord sends us. This ministry is founded by Stephen and Dawn Saasen. However, we readily acknowledge that we are just simply the stewards of this ministry. We have placed God as the

CEO and the head of this ministry, and we recognize and know that we are just here to carry out the ministry assignments and plans that He places before us to complete for Him. We are honored to serve in the mighty army of the Lord Jesus Christ and humbly receive His marching orders for our lives and for this ministry that He has called us to. Stephen and Dawn are both graduates of Rhema Bible Training College and Rhema School of World Missions with their main focus and fields of study being in the areas of Helps/Supportive Ministry, Children's Ministry and World Missions. World Missions prepared them for church pioneering and planting, establishing future Bible Schools, instructing and teaching in Bible Schools and assisting existing Bible Schools. Stephen also has an AA Degree with a major in Music from Spokane Falls Community College. Dawn is an early childhood educator and is in the process of earning her CDA - Child Development Associate National Credentials. She works at Rhema Child Development Center as a soon-to-be Master Teacher. She gets the opportunity to share the love of God with countless children each day and teach them from the Word of God. And Dawn is also a photographer and specializes in ministerial, inspirational and special events photography. Dawn has been a volunteer 1st through 4th grade teacher at their local home Church for 5 years, from 2012 to 2017. And Stephen and Dawn have been serving as Stateside Office Administrator's for Commission Europe, (www.commission-europe.org) & serving on the Commission Europe Team, (http://www.commission-europe.org/ #/about-us/our-team) for the past 10 years, since January 2015. During the summer of 2016 Stephen, Dawn and their family completed a required 4 week Rhema School of World Mission's Ministerial International Overseas Internship in Germany with Pastors Robert and Irmi Tomaschek. During their 33 days abroad they traveled to 15 German towns and 4 European Countries, (Germany, Austria, Italy and Ireland) and they each received further ministerial training and certification in Munich, Germany through DCPI, (Dynamic Church Planting International.) Stephen and Dawn each received certificates in completing 2 DCPI Training Modules for Church Planting Essentials and Churches Planting Churches. Happy, blessed Resurrection Sunday! Jesus is Alive! 🙏✝️💜

“And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, He goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see Him: lo, I have told you.”

– Matthew 28:5-7 (KJV)

“God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

– Romans 5:8 (NIV)

God clearly expressed how much He loves us when Jesus willingly died on the cross. But we are SO glad that the story didn’t end there! Jesus is not in the grave. Praise God! We have a Savior Who has risen! 🙏✝️💜

Easter Blessings from all of us here at Light of Day Ministries!

February 7th & 8th 2025 ~ Our daughter Hannah had a blessed time traveling to the Rhema Ranch this weekend & volunteering & serving with her fellow Rhema Bible Training College classmates at Cultural Immersion Weekend 2025! 🌍🌎🌏

CIW is an annual event that is part of the required Rhema School of World Mission's training program! It provides RSWM students the very unique opportunity to minister in a mock environment in preparation for ministering overseas in other nations that they will be sent to during their International Overseas Internship during term 4 this Spring!

During CIW this year Hannah enjoyed acting & playing the parts of a street vendor in the night market place and a musician and a vendor in the day market place.

CIW is always a great learning experience - both as an RSWM student and as a volunteer! Such valuable training and always a great experience for both students and volunteers alike!

So glad for the years that Hannah has served at CIW! And SO glad for the training that Stephen, Stephanie and I received at CIW during our years as Rhema School of World Mission's students! And for the years that we have volunteered at CIW together as a family! Preparation time is never wasted time!

"How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth."
- Isaiah 52:7

God bless the current RSWM students as they continue to prepare to bring the Gospel around the globe!

(*Only a few photos were taken of CIW as photos of this ministry training are not allowed. The RSWM program requires this in order to properly train the students and for each year to keep that "element of surprise" to ensure authentic training.)

Blessings to you from our Light of Day Ministries family to yours!

"The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth.

They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry.

It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit.

It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it."

- Isaiah 55:10-11
New Living Translation

Proverbs 2:6 says, "For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding".

This verse is the conclusion to the previous five verses, which are a reminder that the Lord is the only true source of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.

Needing some knowledge, wisdom, and understanding? As you press in and activate this new year with faith and prayer, remember that the Lord is your source of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.

Blessings to you from all of us here at Light of Day Ministries!

ACTIVATE this new year with PRAYER:

The month of January is not only the first month of the year, it is also a month we set aside for prayer.

We also would encourage you to spend time each day in prayer. Go to God on the basis of His Word. Put a demand on the Word. Take these first 31 days and press in, in prayer.

As you spend time communing with God, know that prayer is cooperating and co-working with God. As you pray, always remember, you are geared and wired with Heaven's best on the inside of you. And wisdom and Godly insight available to you all the day long. You set the pace to your spiritual growth. Be a thermostat, not a thermometer. And don't allow anyone to change your thermostat but God. Keep your eyes on God. Not on man. He is the author and the finisher of your faith. And you will finish your race and this year strong for Him!

We here at Light of Day Ministries are cheering you on and surrounding you with our love, faith, and prayers!

We are excited for all that God has planned for this new year of 2025! 🙏🙌

Happy Three Kings' Day! 👑👑👑

Three Kings' Day, also known as "Little Christmas" and the "Feast of Epiphany," is a Christian feast day that officially concludes the Christmas season.

Christmas celebrations go on until Three Kings' Day on January 6! For Christians, Christmas Day is just the beginning of the festivities, as it kicks off the celebrations for the Twelve Days of Christmas!

Epiphany is celebrated EVERY January 6th, which is 12 days after Christmas, (some count Christmas Day as the 1st day of Christmas) and it is believed that on this day, the magi or the three wise men—Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar—gave baby Jesus Christ the gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

'Epiphany' comes from the Greek word meaning 'to reveal', as it is when the baby Jesus was 'revealed' to the world.

So how long was it really after Jesus’ birth that the Wise Men arrived? We do not know exactly. However, there is sufficient reasoning to know that it was not 12 days. It would have been more than 40 days, but less than two years.
Matthew 2:1-11 - In this passage, we are told that the Wise Men “came into the house and saw the young child." Couple that with the decree of Herod that all children two years old and under should be put to death, it’s easy to understand why some suggest Jesus was near two years of age when the Wise Men arrived. Remember, the Wise Men were supposed to report their finding of the Christ child back to Herod (Matt 2:8). If six months, a year, or longer had passed before Herod realized they had not returned, he might have decreed “two and under” to make sure Jesus would be killed. However, we know that Jesus was spared as his parents took him and they fled to Egypt. Their flight into Egypt is a story recounted in the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 2:13–23) Soon after the visit by the Magi, an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream telling him to flee to Egypt with Mary and the infant Jesus since King Herod would seek the child to kill him.

How will you celebrate this twelth day of Christmas, Three Kings' Day & Feast of Epiphany?

“The Twelve Days of Christmas” is a fun song to sing; and there’s a fun trivia question about the song: How many gifts were given? Since each day’s gifts are repeated (added to the next day), the total is 364!!! Now, that’s a lot of gifts. But still, they are nothing compared to the single gift given by God when He gave His Son to the world!

"When they saw the star, they were overjoyed."
- Matthew 2:10

May the glory of God fill your hearts with happiness, peace, and love as we celebrate this special day!

Blessed Epiphany from Light of Day Ministries! 🙏✝️💜

What do you see in 2025?

Having a vision for the future includes revelation from the Word of God & revelation from the Spirit of God. This revelation comes by spending time in the Word of God and by spending time in prayer. I would encourage you to get alone with God and spend some quiet time at the beginning of this new year praying out the plans of God for your life this year and receiving instructions from Him.

"It's a terrible thing to see and have no vision."
- Helen Keller

See yourself from God's perspective. You have to see yourself in your future doing what God has created you to do.

You can have 2020 vision in 2025!

"Write down the vision, write it clearly on clay tablets so whoever reads it can run and tell others."

- Habakkuk 2:2-3

May your adventures of faith with the Lord only continue to increase in 2025! Stir the dreams that are stirring in your soul up and turn your believer on to receive them done in 2025! 🙏✝️

We are praying for you and believing God with you!

Thank you also for your prayers and for your support and friendship towards Light of Day Ministries over the past almost 12 years now! We couldn't do what we do without you! We are SO thankful to the Lord for every one of you! 🙏🙌❤️

New Year's Blessings from Light of Day Ministries,

Take time to remember ALL of your benefits in Christ today:

"Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's" .

- Psalm 103: 1 - 5 (KJV)

This is the heart of God. 🙏❤️
