What if we approached prayer with more confidence in who God is than concern over what we're facing?

In Matthew 7:7–11, Jesus reminds us that we can come before our Heavenly Father boldly, persistently, and expectantly. Not because we're guaranteed everything we ask for, but because we serve a good Father who knows what we need and delights in giving what is best.

Prayer isn't just something we need to do. It's something we get to do.

What a joy it was getting to worship together again! This Sunday, Pastor reminded us that prayer isn't just something we need to do... it's something we get to do!

In Matthew 7:7–11, Jesus calls us to approach our Heavenly Father with confidence, dependence, and persistent faith. We serve a good God who hears our prayers, knows our needs, and always gives what is best.

Not one thing in your life is worth worrying about, but everything in your life is worth praying about!

“Judge not” was never a call to abandon truth, it was a call to abandon self righteousness. Jesus teaches us to look inward before we look outward, to examine our own hearts before we critique someone else, and to remember that the goal of correction is never to win an argument or elevate ourselves. The goal is restoration.

Kingdom living means holding tightly to truth while walking in humility, mercy, and love. We are not called to be merciless, but merciful; not oppositional, but restorative; not shaped by personal preference, but by Scripture.

Before we inspect others, may we first inspect ourselves, and when we do speak, may it always be with the heart of Jesus.

Sundays are best spent together! Yesterday was a great morning spent in worship, prayer, God's word, and our kids ended their Slime War by sliming their leaders! Fall here at FBCBA is off to a great start, and we can't wait to see you all next week!
