Welcome to Hope Church. We’re glad you’re worshiping with us.
Most of us already know more of the Bible than we're living out. We know what Jesus said about forgiveness, prayer, generosity, how we treat people.
The problem isn't that God has gone quiet. He's already spoken. We just haven't done anything about it. James calls that self-deception.
This week, class is back in session, and there's homework. Hearing God's Word matters. Knowing it matters. But James says the Word starts doing its real work when we put it into practice.
In Week 2 of "Back to School: Lessons Jesus Still Teaches," Pastor Joe teaches from James 1:22-25 and asks a simple question: what's the one thing you already know God is asking you to do?
You don't have to understand everything before you obey something. Take the next step you already know to take.
