There’s something most leaders experience but rarely put into words. You’re leading people, preaching truth, building teams, carrying vision. From the outside, everything looks strong. But internally, there are moments where it feels like you’re the only one truly holding it all together.

Most people don't understand ordination. What it is, why it matters, or how it actually helps them. Here's the honest breakdown: recognition that confirms what God has already called you to, credibility with your congregation and community, legal protection for you and the ministry you're building.

Add to that spiritual covering from leaders who are genuinely invested in your health and your calling, and community with a network of peers who understand ministry from the inside and show up for you. That's five real, practical reasons ordination matters.

You've probably felt it at some point. The quiet pressure to sound like someone else, build like someone else, lead like someone else. It comes from good places sometimes: admiration, mentorship, wanting to do it right.

But there's a version of that pressure that slowly costs you the very thing God put in you. Your calling isn't a franchise. It has a shape, a texture, a voice that belongs only to you. The Holy Spirit didn't lead you the same way He led anyone else, and that's not a problem to fix. That's the point.
