Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma Welcome to the Roman Catholic Church of Eastern Oklahoma There are 78 parishes and/or missions in the 26,417 square miles of the diocese.

The Diocese of Tulsa is comprised of the following 31 counties in the eastern part of Oklahoma:
Adair, Atoka, Bryan, Cherokee, Choctaw, Coal, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Haskell, Hughes, Latimere, LeFlore, McCurtain, McIntosh, Mayes, Muskogee, Nowata, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Payne, Pittsburg, Pushmataha, Rogers, Sequoyah, Tulsa, Wagoner and Washington. A Diocese is a portion of the

People of God, which is entrusted to a bishop to be nurtured by him with the cooperation of his priests (canon 369). The Diocesan Bishop enjoys legislative, executive, and juridical authority (canon 391). He is the chief pastor and leader of the diocese. He is the principal dispenser of the mysteries of God, and he strives constantly that Christ's faithful entrusted to his care may grow in grace through the celebration of the sacraments, and may know and live the paschal mystery (canon 387). The Diocesan Bishop, mindful that the salvation of souls is the supreme law of the Church (canon 1752), fosters and coordinates the work of the laity and urges the faithful to assume their proper roles in the life of the Church. The Diocesan Bishop exercises his responsibilities with the assistance of the members of his cabinet, through the offices in the diocesan curia (chancery), and through parishes and institutions in the Local Church.

✝️Bishop Konderla's Prayer Challenge on Hallow - Day 7

This August 31, join Bishop David Konderla for "Called by Name", a seven-day prayer journey on the Hallow app. Whether you are discerning God's direction for your life or simply seeking to grow closer to Him, these daily reflections offer an opportunity to listen more attentively to His voice.

Throughout the week, you'll hear stories of ordinary men and women who discovered God's call in unexpected ways. Together, we'll reflect on the beauty of the many vocations through which God leads His people to holiness, including marriage, the priesthood, religious life, the diaconate, and consecrated single life.

As the journey concludes, Bishop will share a little of his own vocation story and invite all of us to pray for those who are discerning where the Lord is calling us. Our encouragement, prayers, and witness can make a lasting difference in helping someone respond with courage and trust.

Today the Church celebrates St. Teresa of Kolkata, who devoted her life to serving the poorest of the poor, seeing in each person the face of Christ.

🔥 WHY IT MATTERS
Mother Teresa reminds us that holiness is often found in simple acts of love. We do not have to travel far to find someone who needs kindness, compassion or simply to know they are seen.

👣 HOW WE LIVE IT
Look for the person who might otherwise go unnoticed today. Offer your time, your attention or a simple act of kindness - and recognize Christ in them.
