“This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. 7I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD Almighty. 8‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the LORD Almighty. 9‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the LORD Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the LORD Almighty.”
The Holy Bible: Today’s New International Version. (Hag 2:6–9). (2005). Zondervan.
Look around you, you can feel it, you sense it's real. Everything about our lives (around the world) are being shaken. Our governments, our money, our social constructs, the church, it's all been turned on its head. What we trusted, we cannot trust anymore, at least that which is seen. There is something that cannot be shaken, as the writer of Hebrews proclaims:
25See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? 26At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” 27The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.
28Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29for our “God is a consuming fire.”
The Holy Bible: Today’s New International Version. (Heb 12:25–29). (2005). Zondervan.
Everything is in place for the Lord to return. There are now, and have been scoffers who laugh and taunt Christianity and it's followers. But we were warned. The moment of decision is upon us, do we trust in the seen or the unseen? What I see cannot be trusted, what I cannot see, can. I am not peddling a "brimstone and fire" message. I am sharing what God says about the "last days." You can choose what to believe, but be "careful where you stand, lest you fall." (1 Cor 10:11)
