Confirmation Class- 7th & 8th Grade (Sept-May): Every Sunday at 8:45am West Luther Valley church was sponsored and built in 1871 as an outreach of Luther Valley Lutheran Church, Beloit, WI, to members in the western
area of the settlement. At that time the East Luther Valley Church became so large that the pastor was unable to serve both parishes. West Luther Valley then became its own congregation and changed its name to Bethany. Bethany is now an independent Lutheran congregation. In 2003, the old church, built in 1871, burned to the ground as a result of a lightning strike. The members of the church worked along side the contractor, and by the spring of 2005 had built a completely new, accessible, 21st century sanctuary. Today the church is once again maintaining its independent status with approximately 175 members. Bethany continues in its Lutheran heritage as it proclaims God's love for all people through Jesus Christ.
