Originally created to promote our wonderful Austin Pipe Organ while we raised funds for the installation of the Choir Division, the musical series will continue under Arts & Music at Christ Church with a variety of programs.

June 17th Midday Music program is dedicated to the memory of four Christ Congregational Church members who gave loyal support to the "completion of the organ" and the inception of Midday Music programs: Eleanor Calvin, Richard Hill, Dot Quimby and David Stewart. Arts & Music is thankful for them. This photo including David Steward and Eleanor Calvin was taken at the signing of the contract with Czelusniak & Dugal for the installation of the Choir division.

Wonderful program for Midday Music this week with organist Peter Krasinski, celebrating the USA at 250. Thanks to Peter from the Arts & Music Planning Group; for a varied program that touched on music through the decades of US history, and concluded with a moving meditative arrangement of God Bless America - that is our prayer.

Audience members brought items for the Community Food Pantry at Christ Congregational Church Brockton UCC which is open to the public, and they also contributed $425 toward the purchase of additional non-perishable food.
Thanks to all who came, supported this effort, and to the local cultural councils of Easton and Brockton for their support too.
The program was recorded by Brockton Cable Access and will be viewable for Brockton residents soon. A link to the program will also be available on YouTube.

Midday Music is on for tomorrow February 11th at 12:15 pm. We might get a little snow overnight, but then the day should be sunny and milder. Come enjoy music on our Austin pipe organ performed by Brian Edwards in celebration of Black History Month. Following the program, a light lunch of soup and bread and dessert will be served in the church's Fellowship Hall. At Christ Congregational Church Brockton UCC, 1350 Pleasant Street. Handicapped accessible, free, and donations always welcome.
