Many of our members have been asking how they can support the church’s renovation fundraiser in meaningful and practical ways. If you are age 73 or older, one option you may want to consider is making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA.

A QCD allows you to give directly from your IRA to the church. For those who must take Required Minimum Distributions, a QCD can count toward that requirement without being treated as taxable income, as long as the funds go straight from your IRA custodian to the church.

This can be a simple and tax‑smart way to support the renovation project while helping us continue building a welcoming, vibrant space for worship and ministry.

If you’d like more information, we encourage you to speak with your financial advisor or IRA custodian. Thank you for your generosity and for helping strengthen the future of our church family. 🙏✨

Our church has been a sanctuary in times of sorrow and a joyful gathering place in times of celebration. Now, it’s time to care for the space that has cared for us.

Critical renovations are needed to keep our church safe, accessible, and ready for future ministry. With God’s guidance and your generosity, we can make this happen together.

Appreciating our Pastor - Vicki Waddington! Not only does she lead worship with thought-provoking and comforting messages, she also plays the piano and the organ. She has 23 years of experience in the ministry and is a licensed local pastor in the United Methodist Church. We are fortunate to have her leadership.

Vicki is at the UCC on the first and fourth Sundays of each month to lead worship. On the first Sunday of each month, Laura Lee Ullrich leads worship at our church and on the third Sunday, we join the Lutherans at their church. Broadus is a shared ministry for Vicki as she also serves a church in Forsyth.

Pastor Vicki also comes to Broadus on alternate Thursdays. In the mornings, she visits residents at the Manor and is available for home visits. In the afternoon, from 1 to 3 p.m. she is available for conversations at the church office and leads Bible study at 2 p.m. Both appointments and drop-ins are welcome.
