Please join me in supporting the Linville family as they seek to recover some of their adoption funds after a heartbreaking loss. I will be donating a knit monogram hat to the to take place Tuesday, November 15 - Thursday, November 17. I hope you'll follow along and be moved to bless this family.
Here's their story..."Justin and I have always had a desire to adopt, but we had no idea how and where we would adopt. After 6 years of marriage we felt God really convicting us to actively start pursuing adoption. We prayed for months about where we should adopt and asked God to clearly reveal that to us. After months of prayer we felt strongly that our future child was in Ethiopia. We moved right along with our home study and paperwork when we found a precious little boy with Down syndrome on a waiting child's page, and he was from Ethiopia. We fell in love. A few days later we were officially matched, and we were a family. Months went by and we were rushing through paperwork so we could bring our little guy home as soon as possible. We had sold a rental property we owned to pay for most of our son’s adoption, and things were looking bright. Unfortunately, on September 1st we received devastating news that our baby boy who would be turning 2 soon became ill and passed away. We were heartbroken, and still are. A week later we also learned that the fees we had sent in to the orphanage a few weeks prior to our son’s death were not able to be used towards another adoption, even if it was from the same orphanage. Our agency has no say so in this choice, but the orphanage is in complete control. We were discouraged to say the least.
This journey has been filled with much more heart ache than what we were prepared for, but we are feeling hopeful about the future. We know God works all things out for the good of those who love him, and we are holding on to his promise. We are excited to see what is in store for our family, and we can not wait to be adding to our family through adoption!
In Love,
Dora and Justin Linville"
