As we approach the memorial Day Holiday, we ask for your support in the preservation of the Harlinsville Cemetery.

This cemetery is the home of many of our heroes, pioneers, loved ones, and sets on what is left of the Harlinsville Community. Your donations, time, and support are much needed as the cemetery remains an active part of the African American community of Bristow since 1911!

After the removal of several trees we have made room for additional plots. If you or your loved one wishes to be buried at the historic Harlinsville Cemetery we encourage you to contact us ASAP as spaces are limited.

Happy Tuesday from Harlinsville Cemetery. This memorial was seen on findagrave.com with the verbiage below. Isnt it interesting to see grave markers like these, you wonder about their story and how they were connected to Bristow!

Death date is not visible. Earnest is buried with James and Willie D. Weston. He is seen living next to the Weston family in 1930.
Census shows name as Criner/Marker says Crinner

Harlinsville Cemetery family! The 1st picture shows the monument erected in memory of the noble founders of the Harlinsville Cemetery in 1911. The second shows one of the founders, William Alex monument which has been damaged over the years.

Recent find for Harlinsville Cemetery from 1933! 😍🧐😍🧐
Leland K., a veteran who served in France had his funeral service held at Harlinsville school, and was buried at Harlinsville Cemetery. We have been unable to locate this grave, however it is mentioned on Find a grave.com as well as this newspaper clip - Any idea of its location?
Unfortunately, due to misplaced records throughout the years this happens often.

Check out this recent find. Louise(a) Mcintosh was a resident of Bristow, and died in 1910, having been buried at Harlinsville Cemetery. Louisa was aged 100 years at her death and was the mother of Hannah Roberts, who is also buried at Harlinsville Cemetery. Louisa's tombstone has been damaged over the years, and looks to have been of very intricate detail and notable height.

The freedom to speak. The freedom to worship. The freedom to love. The freedom to live. Today at Harlinsville Cemetery we remember that our freedoms are never actually free. We are grateful for those who fought for our country’s freedoms and paid with the ultimate sacrifice for it.
