A Dark Sunday | Psalm 14 and the Cave of Adullam

It’s been a dark week, and this is a dark Sunday. Yet Psalm 14 and David’s story in the Cave of Adullam remind us that God has not abandoned His people. Even in exile, even in despair, there is hope.

Watch this week’s sermon and reflect with me on what it means to cling to God in the darkness.

This week’s sermon reflects on Jeremiah 18, Luke 14, and Psalm 139. Jesus tells us to count the cost before following Him—and when we do, we discover that everything worth having comes at a price. But we also learn that God, the potter, can always re-form the clay.

Broken Cisterns: The Double-Edged Sin

Jeremiah 2:13 warns of a sobering truth: when we forsake the fountain of living waters, we turn to broken cisterns that cannot hold life. In this week’s sermon, we look at how Scripture—from Genesis to Romans—shows the pattern of people decentralizing God from their lives, only to have to fill the void with... something.

Addiction, self-made truth, politics—these modern broken cisterns leave us empty. But God calls us back to Himself, the only true source of worth, belonging, and living water.

Is Faith a Rational Endeavor?

This week’s message comes from Isaiah 1:18–20 — one of my favorite verses in all of Scripture: “Come, let us reason together.”

In the midst of the prophets’ warnings, God offers an invitation: to think, to question, to engage with Him using the minds He gave us. Faith was never meant to be blind — it is a rational, thoughtful pursuit that can stand up to our questions.

Watch this week’s sermon to see why reason and faith are not opposites, but partners in a vibrant Christian life.
