Resurrection Party this Saturday (4/12/14) @ 2:00. There will be an egg hunt, games, food and fun. Come celebrate. He is risen!

Tomorrow night is pajama night for the kids/youth at Friendship. Bring a new/like new stuffed animal for the Lakota children. We will have a devotion, games and snacks. Hope to see you there.

Jesus, the star of Christmas! We've got a busy week this week, but it should be fun. Wednesday at 6:00 is Christmas program practice. Thursday is the Christmas parade. Meeting on Morrison Blvd at 6:00. Saturday, we will be performing the Christmas program at the nursing home. Please be there by 1:45. Excited about our children/youth that are willing to share the message of Christ during this time of year. Keep them in your prayers.

YOUTH LOCK-IN!! 50's/60's THEME!! All ages! Come dressed in your favorite 50/60 costume. We will have a contest for the best outfit!! Winner will get a gift card. We will have a 50's diner with waitresses and root beer floats! Sock Hop, games, bonfire and lot's of fun!! Starts Friday night at 7pm and ends Saturday morning at 9am. You can come anytime Friday - after football games if needed. You can stay all night or leave any time you need. Come and bring your friends for a night of fun!! Make sure you bring your sleeping bag and a pillow!

We are planning on going to the Faith and Family Night on Saturday July 13th. The ballgame is at the Bristol White Sox's field this year. The gates open at 5 and the concert starts at 6. This will be for all ages. Please reply and let us know if you will be able to come and then we will decide about transportation. It should be a good night. Hope to see everyone there and bring a friend!!

RESURRECTION is coming up in a couple of weeks!! I handed out papers today at church about what food items everyone needs to bring. We are leaving on Friday the 18th at 5pm from the church. The older kids have their opening that night at 9pm. The older kids activities go through Sunday morning and the smaller kids activities start on Sunday and go through Monday. Everyone is encouraged to bring their favorite movie (make sure it is appropriate), video games, or board games to play with that weekend. We will not be doing any activities in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. We will stay at the cabin this weekend to relax and fellowship together. There is a hot tub at the cabin so you can bring church appropriate bathing suits. We will also stay together as a group. Please do not plan to go off with your family. We all want to stay together this weekend. Please bring an air mattress if you have one. Also don't forget your favorite sweet snack, your favorite salty snack and a 12 pack of drinks.

Here is some info about upcoming events: Saturday is work day for the Nativity. Be at the church at 10am to help. We have a busy day on Sunday. We are staying after church Sunday Morning. We will have lunch and then we are going to record the CD for the nativity. We will leave the church at 4pm to go to the concert. Remember to bring money for ticket - suggested price is $15 but you can pay whatever you can. Hope to see everyone there.

Just want to get the word out that we will have a meeting for the Drive Thru Nativity on Sunday, November 11th at 5:30 PM. If you won't be able to attend and would like to participate, please let Tammy Morrell know. Thanks guys for all you do.

We are going to Culture Shock Youth Revival at First Baptist of Blountville on Saturday. It starts at 6pm and supper will be served. This is for upcoming 7th graders through just graduated. We will meet at the church at 5pm and will leave the church by 515. Please respond and let us know if you are coming so we will know about transportation. Hope to see everyone there!!

REMINDER: Picnic tomorrow after church. Bring your family and a side dish and join us at the Weir for some fun and fellowship. Youth department will buy the hotdogs and buns and the fixings. Bring your bike, fishing poles and anything else you want to play with. If the weather is bad, we will eat at the church. Hope to see you there

REMINDER: All youth in 5th grade and up are going to Liberty Baptist Church on Wednesday Night for a youth rally. We will leave the church at 6:30 to go. Please plan on coming and bring a friend.
