Taco Bell worker fighting for her life.
Sydney Arnold messaged me last night to bring attention to this warrior’s story. 🎀
Here’s what Sydney wrote:
Tonight, I met a beautiful lady at Taco Bell in Elizabethton. Her name is Courtney!
She was sweeping the parking lot wearing a head wrap, and I stopped to tell her how cute she looked in her bandana.
She smiled and thanked me, then shared that she has cancer. I was shocked—she told me she definitely doesn't feel well enough to work, but she's doing it out of necessity.
We immediately bonded over our experiences, as I've had a preventative mastectomy myself, and she just finished a round of chemotherapy known as 'red devil' and is about to have a double mastectomy.
She is fighting cancer in her 30s, with no family support and nobody to lean on.
Despite everything, she's working hard just to get by. I want to pass on some of the blessings I've received to her, and help her through this difficult time. The funds raised here will go directly toward her living expenses while she recovers from surgery, so she can focus on healing instead of worrying about bills.
This cause is close to my heart because of my own family history with cancer. I want everyone to know how I met her, and why it's so important for me to help.
Any support you can give will mean the world to her, and show her she's not alone in this fight. Thank you for reading and for considering a donation. Please share!
