Today, officials of City of Brighton, Colorado Government, Adams County, and the State of Colorado gathered at Brighton First Presbyterian Church (BFPC) to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Ravenfield Senior Community, which is being developed on land the church sold to the Brighton Housing Authority for 1/3 of market price about two years ago. This decision was driven by the values and commitment to serving that is at the heart of this faith community. Founded in 1884, BFPC has played an important role in Brighton for 142 years. A number of church members attended the event, and Kim Walsh, the Clerk of Session, spoke to the crowd.
