💔 45 Days Missing - Christopher Gathers, 13, North Charleston, SC
A 13 year old boy named Christopher Gathers has been missing from North Charleston, South Carolina since January 20, 2026 and as of today his case remains open with no confirmed update on his whereabouts.
The North Charleston Police Department first reported that Christopher was last seen on Vanderbrook Place on January 20. Local news station WCSC picked up the story in February after investigators issued a renewed public plea, but despite multiple calls for help Christopher has still not been located.
Investigators have specifically asked for the public to come forward with any information and have named Sgt. A. Washington as the contact point for anyone with tips.
Christopher is described as a young Black male, 4 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 90 pounds. Authorities believe he may still be somewhere in the local North Charleston area.
It is also worth noting that South Carolina does not have a public statewide missing persons database, which means cases like Christopher's rely almost entirely on community awareness and media coverage to gain traction. That makes sharing posts like this one even more important.
