WHY WORSHIP IS MORE THAN SUNDAY
In Revelation 4, the elders before God's throne reveal what true worship looks like.
They bow. Bowing says, "God is God and I am not." But somewhere along the way, we swapped reverence for comfort.
We stroll in late, judge the music, grade the sermon, and scoot out early. What does that posture say about our hearts?
When we stop seeing God as God, we recreate Him in our image rather than the other way around.
Worship isn't acknowledging God with our words. It's letting Him lead our lives on Monday, not just Sunday.
Romans 12:1 says, "Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your true and proper worship."
Then the elders lay their crowns before the throne. Everything God gave them, they give back. We want His presence without releasing control.
The verb for "lay" is present continuous. They are always laying their crowns down. Not a one-time act. A lifestyle.
