Today we honor Thomas à Kempis (c. 1380–1471)

German-Dutch monk and author of The Imitation of Christ, one of the most widely read Christian devotional books in history. His writings on humility, simplicity, and inner faith continue to inspire believers around the world nearly 600 years later.

A humble monk whose quiet life gave the world one of the greatest treasures of the Christian faith — The Imitation of Christ. He taught us that true wisdom is not found in worldly knowledge, but in walking closely with God, in humility, silence, and love.

“He who follows me, walks not in darkness.” His words still call us today — away from noise, and into a deeper communion with Christ.

Let his life remind us: greatness before God is found not in titles, but in a surrendered heart. 🙏
