A joyful day in the life of Trinity Bridgewater!

On Sunday, June 14, Trinity was blessed to welcome the Rt. Rev. Ian T. Douglas, Assisting Bishop in the Diocese of Massachusetts and former Bishop of Connecticut, for an Episcopal Visit.

During the 10:00 a.m. service, Bishop Douglas confirmed two Sunday School Students, and we also celebrated a third student, who was confirmed at his grandfather’s church in October.

It was a beautiful morning of worship, blessing, tradition, and joy in our historic sanctuary — followed by a festive reception with food, fellowship, and gratitude.

Thank you to Bishop Douglas, our confirmands, their families, and everyone who helped make this such a meaningful day for our parish.

Faith in action at Greg’s Pantry

During his visit to Trinity Bridgewater, the Rt. Rev. Ian T. Douglas also spent time learning about Greg’s Pantry, our outdoor community pantry located on the Pearl Street side of the church.

Greg’s Pantry is named in memory of Greg Bobst, a Bridgewater neighbor known to many in our parish and throughout the community. Greg’s passing was a sobering reminder of how vulnerable life can be without stability — and the pantry was created as one small, practical way to respond with care, dignity, and love. Trinity’s own description of the pantry says it was established in the hope of meeting immediate needs in the community.

We were grateful to share this ministry with Bishop Douglas and to celebrate the many ways faith continues beyond the walls of the church.

Thank you to everyone who helps keep Greg’s Pantry stocked, cared for, and available to our neighbors.

Hello, Bridgewater, Jesus Has Left the Building!

This summer, we’re inviting congregants, friends, family, neighbors, and anyone with a little faith, curiosity, or sense of adventure in their heart to take Jesus out into the world with them.

Here’s how it works:

We’ll provide a Jesus Has Left the Building Kit complete with a small Jesus figure and simple instructions. Then it’s your turn! Take Jesus along on an adventure, snap a photo, and share where He ended up.

Maybe Jesus visits a favorite restaurant, a Red Sox game, a family cookout, a vacation destination, a local landmark, a community event, or a simple act of kindness close to home.

The idea is fun, but the message is meaningful: faith doesn’t only happen inside church walls. It happens wherever we live, work, laugh, serve, and care for one another.
