We would love to have you come worship or study the Bible with us! We're a group of believers saved from our sins through the blood of Jesus Christ in obeying the gospel (Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 5:9, 1 Peter 1:18-19). Individually, we call ourselves simply “Christians” because that is the name Jesus’ disciples wore (Acts 11:26) and that is the name whereby we can glorify God (1 Peter 4:16). Collect

ively, we call ourselves a “church of Christ” as this is a designation found in the Scriptures for a congregation (Romans 16:16) and one that also glorifies our Lord and Savior to whom we belong. We meet in Bridgeview, Illinois (a southwest suburb of Chicago) and we would love to have you come worship or study the Bible with us!

The book of Exodus quickly launches us to a much later Egyptian dynasty from where the book of Genesis closes. It’s so far removed that God’s prophetic dealings with Joseph are long forgotten and this new Pharaoh deals harshly with God’s people. But God has not forgotten. God continues faithful to his promise to Abraham in greatly multiplying his seed and in that he will curse those who curse them and bless those who bless them. God hears their groaning and so delivers with a mighty hand, cursing Egypt and its king. But then this great multitude who have been delivered have much to learn. They prove to be a grumbling and stubborn people, but God shows mercy. He promises to make them his people. Study along with us as we see God work with this great multitude as he declares His name to them, delivers His laws and His covenant, and reveals how they will be able to dwell and walk before a Holy God. In all of this, God is unravelling more of his glorious plan to redeem mankind from their sin.
