OUR NEW PARISH SAFETY & SECURITY TEAM

The Parish of the Holy Cross has recently formed a Safety & Security Team. The purpose of the Safety & Security Team is to oversee various safety and security issues. Our concerns cover:
1. Security of people, property and grounds in our parish.
2. Medical emergencies, natural hazards or hazards caused by other means (power outages, contaminated water, gas leaks, etc.) that might affect our parish.
3. The Safety & Security Team will also be guardians of the Eucharistic Host. They see to it that at Communion, the Eucharistic Hosts are received and consumed properly.
If you wish to be a part of the Parish Safety & Security Team, please contact the Pastor at (856) 455-2323. We welcome people in law enforcement, people with medical expertise and training, community organizers, public servants, as well as teachers and instructors, among others.
NOTE WELL: While the entire parish is our concern, we are focusing now on the St. Mary campus as a pilot project. We have decided, beginning June 13-14, to lock the side doors to the church during Mass and to allow access ONLY through the main doors. If somone needs to use the ramp to get in, please let our ushers at the main entrance know and they will unlock the side door for you.

THE FEAST OF ST. ANTHONY

On Sunday, June 14th, we will celebrate the Feast of St. Anthony at St Anthony's Church in Port Norris. There will be Mass at 11:30 followed by a potluck luncheon at the hall. We will have food, door prizes and kids’ activities. Drinks, sandwiches and cake will be provided. Please bring a lunch, side or dessert item to share. Those who have completed their training for Eucharistic Minister and/or Lector and have not yet been commissioned or not received their official certificate, Please contact Pat at the parish office ASAP. It is mandatory that you be commissioned. 856-455-2323 ext. 308.

FATHER’S DAY MASS CARDS

Sunday, June 21st is that very special day when we honor our earthly fathers. Although there are many creative ways of showing our loving gratitude to dad, one special and unique expression of appreciation is to join our parish family in a special prayerful remembrance at all our Masses celebrated on Father’s Day weekend, June 20 & 21, where all your fathers’ special intentions will be placed on the altar. Father’s Day Mass cards are now available; you will find them in the baskets at the church exits. The envelopes with the fathers’ names, both living and deceased, will be placed on the altar until the end of June. This is a wonderful way to remember the special men in our life. The suggested donation will be $10.00 per card. When you get them, you can just fill them out and return them to the parish office or place them in the collection basket.

AN INVITATION TO WATCH THE NEW MOVIE ABOUT THE SACRED HEART

Sacred Heart: His Reign Has No End is a French docudrama directed by Sabrina and Steven Gunnell. It chronicles the 17th-century apparitions of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in France and features modern-day testimonies. The film arrives in U.S. theaters as a limited Fathom Entertainment release in English from June 9–14, 2026. It will be showing at the Regal Cinema at the Cumberland Mall.
