“As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)

How far away have you been from your kids—a city away, a state away, or even in another country? Being far away from the people we love can be challenging. However, distance is an amazing thing when it comes to sin. God loves us so much, and He forgives our sin when we ask. His forgiveness means that our sin is as far from us as the east is from the west, which we cannot even measure!

Enjoy that our very close God offers forgiveness and removes sin.

Gather some magazines, construction paper, glue sticks, and child-safe scissors to create a fun forgiveness reminder. Cut out the letters to spell I AM FORGIVEN, and glue the letters to the center of the construction paper. Then cut out other images that display joy and love. Hang your collage as a reminder that God’s forgiveness gives us a fresh start and changes our lives for the better.

Take some time today to pause, gather as a family, and connect with God. Here are 4 powerful things to pray for together this Friday:

Gratitude: Thank God for creating you on purpose, valuing you, and giving you deep worth.

Joy: Ask Him to help you live in the pure joy of His love, remembering that Jesus rescued us.

Encouragement: Pray for each other right there in your home to truly feel and recognize how much God values them.

Outreach: Choose 1 or 2 people outside your family to pray for today—that they would know God’s love and choose to follow Him.
