Ladies, have you ever felt that your role as a woman is not big enough? That you are constrained when it comes to your service to God? Have you ever felt that what you do is insignificant? That you wish you could do more? How you may feel that what you can do has no bearing in the greater scheme in the furtherance of the gospel or the betterment for the kingdom of God? Well, I am here to let you know, that the men of the church, Christ, and Almighty God see you, and recognize how important you are and your role is.
Hebrews 6:10 - For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
What this is saying is that God is just and will not overlook your efforts. It emphasizes service driven by love for God and His name. It also commends both past and present ministry to the saints. It also assures that your sacrifices and service for His kingdom do not go un-noticed, they are recognized, and they are not in vain.
Remember, King Saul loved God. He wanted to show God just how much he loved him by offering sacrifices unto him after a victory. However, he was told to destroy everything.
1 Samuel 15:22 - And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
God wants our obedience above all else. We as humans, who love God, want to try and find ways to show Him just how much we do love Him. Most time though, we tend to lean on our own wisdom and judgement to do that. If we truly wish to please him, we are told that all we have to do, is obey. A simple thing. Here, God was telling King Saul, and us by proxy, that nothing pleases Him more, than for us to do what He asks us to do. So never feel as though you haven’t done enough, or you are insignificant in the eyes of the Lord. Remember, it takes all members of the body to make it functional.
