Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, commemorates the day in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom under the Emancipation Proclamation, more than two years after it was issued. It's a holiday because it marks the effective end of slavery in the United States and is a day for celebration, remembrance, and education about African American history and culture.
Day to celebrate freedom!!!

Read. Re-read. Then read for self-reflection...

2 Chronicles 7:14
God's people who are called:
* PRAY - intentionally go into the presence of God our Father and pray. Speak to God. Listen to God. Spend time with God. Feel His presence. Be PRESENT in His presence.
* HUMBLE YOURSELVES - putting God first in your life. Place God as the Lord over every aspect of your living - ahead of personal wants, gains, materials and monetary means. It is running to God in all times before you speak, act or just and or times of trials, needs, joy, EVERYTHING!
* SEEK MY FACE - focus on God for the answer, instruction, and guidance on the path of righteousness and for His Will, Way and Purpose in your life. He is the Way, the (only) TRUTH, the Life.
* TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS - as humans, the constant struggle between flesh (human/worldly ways) and spiritual is very real and a true battle. Part of the covenant in salvation is learning to bring our flesh into obedience to Jesus Christ - God. Enter the enemy, who's job is to keep us in our flesh by any means necessary. There lies the term 'wicked ways'. We do not want to see ourselves as wicked. It is so easy to see the 'wicked' in another (passing the buck - the speck and the log). But like the wick in a candle has many strands which have been twisted together tightly to burn longer and brighter. That is what wicked is. The truth of the Word as we know and are living has been slightly sprinkled with lies from the enemy which becomes a part of our lives. As we have prayed, humbled ourselves, and truly sought God, He will reveal openly, brightly, clearly and unquestionably the wickedness to be addressed and turned away from in our own life. After all, we can only change ourselves.
Watch as God moves in your life which in turn touches and changes 'the land' around you.

Reflection = Action = Change
Prayer = Holy Spirit moving mightily!!! God is good! Let Him stir up the demons around you!!! And CHANGE the land!!!

"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”"
(Romans 10:9-13, NIV)

INTENTION FOR MARCH 3: No matter how busy we might be, I doubt that there are many people who, if finding a $20 bill lying in the street, would not stop to pick it up and consider themselves rather lucky. Yet, how few people would stoop to pick up a penny off the sidewalk? After all, a penny is only worth one cent whereas a $20 bill is worth significantly more. Unfortunately, there are those who judge others using the same sort of valuation, assigning value based on nationality, race, economic status, job title, age, gender, or political persuasion In our prayer lives today, perhaps we should give thanks that our Lord has a different way of assessing worth.
