The children made vision board using scripture while writing their goals and plans for the future, confirming their identity in Christ. What a great day!!

Congratulations to Javon Sokolovic and Julianna Morales!

Golden Hill United Methodist Church celebrates and honors two of our outstanding young people as they graduate high school this year and continue their educational journeys.

We are proud to present both Javon and Julianna with scholarships to support them as they step into this next chapter with faith, courage, and purpose.

• Julianna Morales will be attending the University of Bridgeport, majoring in biology. 
• Javon Sokolovic will be attending Southern Connecticut State University, majoring in business marketing and psychology.

We give thanks to God for their accomplishments, their bright futures, and the love and support of their families and church community. May the Lord guide their steps and surround them with encouragement as they embark on this new season of life.

This past weekend, Golden Hill United Methodist Church once again served as a beacon of hope and community connection. Under the faithful leadership of our Missions Team—alongside our sister church, Monroe UMC, and the dedicated support of our Scouts and Scout leaders—we were blessed to give away 69 bicycles to families throughout the city of Bridgeport.

We are deeply grateful to the Rapid Response organization for providing security, and to every volunteer, partner, and neighbor who showed up with joy and generosity.

Golden Hill continues to stand as a hub for transportation access, community support, and safety in our city. Thanks be to God for the hands and hearts that make this ministry possible, and for the lives touched through this simple but transformative gift of mobility.

Golden Hill UMC Friends and Family,
Our church will be participating in the 2026 Walk Against Hunger! The 1.5 mile walk is hosted by the CT Foodshare program and 100% of the funds we raise will benefit Golden Hill's Community Supper program.

As many of you know, Golden Hill has been doing Community Suppers for 42 years! Our Community Supper program provides warm meals to folks in the Bridgeport area every Wednesday, so participating in this event will allow us to continue to serve our community. Last year, our team raised almost $5,000 to support the program which aided in so many ways for us to serve the community. Help us exceed last year's total!

While the main CT Foodshare walk will occur in Hartford, we are able to host our own local walk in downtown Bridgeport. Our local walk will occur on Saturday, April 25th at 10 AM.
