Foundation 11-3.4 The Providence of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil
☆☆Foundation 11-3 God is the One who is good, and the One who possesses the good word is the Lord Himself.
Romans 12:2: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Therefore, to know what is good is to know God and to know Jesus.
*It is said that the wicked do not understand, so those who do not understand are the wicked.
Daniel 12:10 Many will be refined, purified, and made white, but the wicked will continue to do evil; none of the foolish will understand, but those who are wise will understand. Not being enlightened by God’s Word is in itself the greatest evil.
☆☆Basic 11-4 Eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was not a fall but an act of disobedience.
Genesis 3:11 He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?” The fact that Adam ate what God commanded him not to eat is disobedience to a command; it is not the Fall. Disobeying a command is disobedience, while the Fall is voluntarily leaving one’s proper place.
*The phrase “God commanded” in Genesis 2:16 is a clear command from God.
Romans 5:19 states, “Just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.” Therefore, it is abundantly clear and certain that Adam did not fall but was disobedient.
