As liturgical musicians (singers, directors, instrumentalists), you spend so much time doing “Church” that perhaps its time to spend some time being “Church”. It is a great opportunity to spend some time focusing on our own spiritual lives.

The theme of the retreat is “Echoes of the Upper Room: Music Ministry Rooted in Prayer & Communion.” The retreat is free and will take place on Friday, July 10th at the Convent of St. Birgitta in Darien. We are blessed to have Fr. (Kareem Smith), a priest of the Archdiocese of NY and one versed in sacred music and all types of liturgical music as our retreat master. Flyer is attached.

And we are off! The Hour Devotion kicked off yesterday with Exposition and Divine Mercy at 3pm.

We had a grace-filled Holy Hours for our Spanish-speaking communities led by the Sisters who afterwards joined Fr. Sam Kachuba ( and ) and the young adult communities of the ( )for a spirit-filled presentation around the campfire (Truth in Fire) called “The Time is Now”!

We start day two of this weekend and you can see today’s events in our previous posts! All are open to everyone and free of charge so come spend some time with Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament and in community at !

This coming weekend is our 2nd Annual 40 Hour Devotion Weekend at in Newtown! What makes this weekend different from others is that it offers more than just opportunities for adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, it brings communities, both young adult and ecclesial together for fellowship faith and prayer. There is a track of activities throughout the weekend developed specifically for young adults. There is also a track of events that are open to everyone!

Are you feeling called to evangelization within your parish? Did God place on your heart a desire to bring others into encounter with His Son, Jesus? Maybe you are being called to step into the breach and become an Ambassador?

If you would like to be formed in the ministry of evangelization for your parish, check out the information above and reach out to us ASAP. Our next formation group of Ambassadors begins at the end of May and the deadline to join is this Friday, May 15th.
