Our Sermon on the Mount came from our Chairman of our Deacon Board, Terry Peterson and he reminded us about how fast time is moving and we should remember to move in Gods timing and not our own timing to allow things to work out the way Gods said it should and when that happens, we will get double the blessing. His message titled was “Patience.”
His scriptures:
Romans 12:12 (NIV):
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Romans 8:25 (NIV):
“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”
Ephesians 4:2 (NIV):
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”
Philippians 4:6 (KJV)
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Endurance:
1 Corinthians 9:24 (KJV)
Meaning: Paul compares life and faith to a race. Many people run, but the person who wins is the one who stays focused, and keeps pushing. The verse teaches that we should work hard, stay disciplined, and pursue our goals with dedication, especially in our relationship with God. It’s a reminder not to give up when things get difficult.
Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)
Meaning: This verse compares life to a race. The “cloud of witnesses” refers to the faithful people who came before us and showed examples of trust in God. It teaches us to let go of things that hold us back, avoid sin, stay focused, and keep going with patience and endurance through life’s challenges.
2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
Meaning: Paul is saying that he stayed committed to God through all his struggles. He compares life to a fight and a race, showing that he worked hard, stayed faithful, and didn’t give up until the end. The verse teaches perseverance, dedication, and keeping your faith even when life gets difficult.
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
Meaning: This verse teaches that people who trust and rely on God will receive new strength. The image of rising like eagles represents renewal, hope, and being lifted above struggles. It reminds us that even when we feel tired or discouraged, God can help us keep going.
Amen ♥️
