Join us Sunday for our morning worship service at 10:30 am. This week Pastor Paul will be preaching from the Gospel of John. Here's a note about the message:

"On Sunday I mentioned about my recent interest in farming – and by farming I mean gardening my two 5-foot by 5-foot garden boxes. Well, some good news - over the course of the past few days, small tomatoes have started appearing on my three tomato plants. And while I wasn’t out there long enough to observe these new tomatoes emerging from their blooms, I can assure you that no part of the growing process involved me purchasing tomatoes at Ingles and taping them to the branches. No, these plants are simply doing what a healthy, rooted, well-watered tomato plant does. They’re producing.

That’s exactly the picture Jesus paints in John 15:7–11. Abiding in Christ is not a white-knuckled effort to manufacture spiritual results. It’s staying connected to the source long enough for the fruit to grow naturally. And the fruit Jesus describes involves our desires, obedience, and a joy. Read John 15:7–11 for Sunday, and we will gather to see what genuine connection to Christ actually produces in our lives.." - Pastor Paul

Join us Sunday for our morning worship service at 10:30 am. This week Pastor Paul will be preaching from the Gospel of John. Here's a note about the message:

"While doing some yard work a few weeks ago, I took the time to try to eradicate some useless vines interwoven in the chain link fence in our backyard. I started by trying to unravel each of the thin, lengthy, curled pieces of vegetation from each link. After about 10 minutes of this tedious task, it hit me - just cut them off at the bottom and wait. Sure enough, a week later the vines were dead and shriveled, and simple to remove. When the vine was connected, life flowed, leaves grew, and it was strong. But once it was detached from its life source, it slowly began to dry out and die.

In our text for this week, Jesus gives us one of His clearest pictures of the Christian life by saying, “I am the true vine.” In a culture that constantly pushes us toward achievement, performance, and self-reliance, Jesus reminds us that true spiritual life isn’t by our efforts but by staying connected to Him. Read John 15:1–6 ahead of Sunday, and come ready to hear what our Lord says about abiding, dependence, and the true source of life." - Pastor Paul
