Small church. Mega ministry.

Crosstown Community Church recently welcomed 26 members of the local homeless community for its annual barbecue—providing a meal, meaningful conversation, health screenings, and practical care.

Church members drove to nearby encampments to bring guests to the event. Through a partnership with San Joaquin County, attendees were also offered confidential health screenings, care, and follow-up services. A local hospital generously donated 40 backpacks filled with hygiene products.

This ministry is built on relationships. Crosstown’s members aren’t simply serving meals—they are spending time with people, listening to their stories, and caring for their physical and personal needs.

We celebrate Crosstown Community Church for showing what it means to be a healthy church on mission in its community.

August 24–27, we’re gathering every afternoon at 4:00 PM for four special days of prayer as GHC steps back into the full rhythm of ministry after summer.

Each day, we’ll focus our prayers on an area of GHC and its churches—our pastors, congregations, communities, ministry, and the people God is calling us to reach.

Because beyond the plans, coaching, training and events, we want to put nothing before prayer.

Every GHC church.
Every GHC pastor.
Prayed for by name—regularly.

And we’re praying not simply that we would get more things from God, but that we would get more of God Himself.

GHC Pastors. This day is for you.

We invite you to join us on Thursday, August 20, in Livermore from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a day of encouragement, connection, and learning. Breakfast & Lunch included.

Several GHC Pastors will share short learnings from their years of leading local churches. They will give practical examples of ministry programs that have helped fuel growth and health. Imagine ten beneficial TED talk like sharings that give real how to do next steps.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow pastors, learn from one another, and leave refreshed and encouraged.

As we head into the busy fall ministry season, we hope you’ll take this opportunity to allow God to refill your cup before the demands of the season begin.

This June, Burmese Christian Community Church celebrates 30 years of ministry, now led by Pastor Christer.

It was a joy to honor God’s faithfulness over the past three decades as the church celebrated through gospel proclamation, worship in song and dance, and the preaching of God’s Word.

We thank God for the lives that have been transformed, the community that has been built, and the countless ways this congregation has advanced the Kingdom of God.

As we celebrate what God has done, we also look forward with anticipation to what lies ahead. May the Lord continue to expand His Kingdom through the faithful ministry of the people of Burmese Christian Community Church for many years to come.

This past weekend we celebrated Santa Clara First Baptist Church as they marked 175 years of faithful witness to Jesus Christ —a remarkable milestone.

What makes this anniversary especially exciting is that it wasn’t just a celebration of the past—it was the launch of a bold new vision for the future. SCFBC is prayerfully committing to reach 2,000 people for Christ by 2030.

We celebrate this historic moment and applaud the courage of SCFBC to honor its legacy while embracing a big ask for the future.

Today at 4PM PT, we invite all GHC to join us for prayer via zoom (link in bio).

We’ll be praying for pastors and churches across the East Bay, for churches walking through leadership transitions and sabbaticals, for camps and VBS ministries being prepared this summer, and for our brothers and sisters in places like Manipur, Myanmar, and the Middle East.

We’ll also be praying for wisdom as GHC explores next steps in church planting partnerships and Gospel renewal across our region.
