Your children need your prayers. They really, really do. Not just kind of. But with every breath in their sweet bodies. They need you to pray with yours. ✨

It can be easy to treat prayer as an afterthought but in reality, it just might be the most powerful thing we will ever do to influence their life.

It’s easy to forget that even as little ones, they have struggles in their day to day.

Sure, it may not be how to pay the bills, but in their little hearts, their issue may feel just as important. And certainly as they grow, their issues become just as important as ours.

They need your prayer. 🖤

✨When you’re worried for them, pray first. Process later.

✨When they are struggling with friends, pray first. Coach them later.

✨When they are becoming not your favorite tween to hang with, pray first. Correct them later.

When you’re unsure how to parent them, pray, pray, pray.

Pray over their friends.
Pray over their hearts.
Pray over their decision-making.
Pray over their mouth.
Pray over their convictions.
Pray over their health.
Pray over their moods.
Pray over their future spouse.
And last but not least, pray over your ability to respond with Godly love to their struggles in all of the above. 🙌🏼

There are many things children can do without. But the prayers of their parents, are just not on that list.

They need your prayer more than you may ever know.

So get to praying.

This past Friday the city of Athens concluded its reign inside the walls of Zion. What an absolute joy filled and special week spent with the children! You always think heading into the week that you are going to teach the children and help them learn; and you do, but they also in turn end up teaching and helping you learn a lot as well!

A huge thank you to our unbelievable VBS Ministry Team and everyone who has had a hand in helping make this week possible. It is so cool to be apart of a ministry that starts with a meeting of a few in the library and then reaches out to the community and its many families. What begins with a handful, reaches out to impact hundreds. Thank you Lord!

Last, but not least, an enormous thank you to all of you who brought your children to Vacation Bible School this year! We had such a joyous experience this week! Sunday School at Zion for Pre-K through 9th grade will begin this fall on September 8th. All are welcome!

The Mediterranean Marketplace has been providing us all week with some quite tasty treats! Tomorrow we are super excited to enjoy some Freezepop Fellowship!

Tomorrow we also conclude the final leg of this journey with Paul's arrival in Corinth where he testifies to the Jews that Jesus is indeed the Christ. We will learn how God loves us so much that His love will overflow out through us, and that He will use us to reach others.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
