Servio Deo is a week long mission camp that is provided as an extension of Holy Family Catholic Church, located in Brentwood, Tennessee. The Holy Family Lifeteen community has been participating in mission trips and camps every summer for the past 15 years. Bay St. Louis, Mississippi is located approximately half way between Gulfport, Mississippi, and New Orleans, Louisiana. The eye of Hurricane K
atrina landed on the city in 2005, and it was also subject to economic setback during last year’s oil spill crisis. Without the noteriety of New Orleans, or even Gulfport, large portions of the city have remained in disrepair for the last six years. As part of Servio Deo, you will get to partake in a 4-day service project that will help benefit the inhabitants of Bay St. Louis. Service projects may include repairing homes and/or parks, serving at child-care facilities, food banks, and homeless shelters, etc. Additionally, each night at camp will be filled with praise & worship, adoration, times of reflection & reconciliation, and a chance to grow in your faith while being surrounded by like-minded teenagers. “Servio Deo” simply means I serve God. As Catholic Christians, God has called us to serve the least of these. Holy Family Life Teen extends a very excited invitation for you to grow with them in their faith journey.
