Pilgrim United Church of Christ, Brentwood-Kingston Pilgrim UCC is a small ⛪️with a big ❤️ LGBTQIA+ 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️, 🌎 ☮️, estab. in 1750 in Brentwood, NH That is our invitation to you as well.

Pilgrim Church is a small church now located in Brentwood with roots in Kingston and Brentwood. We are the local parish of the United Church of Christ serving those towns and others. The UCC is a progressive denomination with a long history in New England. A brief description of the church uses these phrases: extravagant welcome, continuing testament, changing lives. That is to say we welcome all:

rich and poor, black and white, gay and straight, believing and questioning. We believe that God is still speaking, that God spoke through the Bible and speaks in new ways to our current reality. We seek to change lives for the better by working for justice and peace in the world. When people asked Jesus about his ministry, his answer to them was "Come and See." Come and see what life is like at our church. If you visit us, here is what you will find…Our worship style reflects our Congregational heritage. We have a Sunday school program for children and youth and provide nursery care to our youngest worshipers. Adults have a Sunday morning Bible Study Group. The choir sings every week. We have a Tone Chime choir and will soon have a Children’s Choir. Our Current Events Discussion Group gathers each Friday morning for lively conversation, and we offer a support group monthly for those dealing with loss. We are a host church for Seacoast Family Promise, an organization that provides housing and meals for families who are temporarily homeless and we house the Community Food Pantry. Our church enjoys an exciting partnership with Gwenzi United Church of Christ in Zimbabwe. We serve wonderful community dinners and monthly Sunday morning breakfasts. And we are committed to doing our part to reduce our impact on the environment. Please see below for specifics on our recurring events. Most importantly, we come together to worship God, and to share God’s love with all of humankind. Inspired by God’s Holy Spirit, we strive to provide a hospitable welcome to all, and to open the wonders of God’s presence to everyone. We comfort, encourage, challenge and support one another and reach out in care to neighbors near and far. If this sounds exciting and inviting to you, come and see! If you are looking for a place where you can put your faith into action, come and see. If you are looking for a place where your questions will be honored and your doubts may be freely shared, come and see. If you are looking for a place where your children will be warmly embraced, come and see. If you are looking for a place of solace and refuge, come and see. We worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM (July and August at 9:30 AM). We welcome you for coffee and fellowship after the service. Our sanctuary, parish hall and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. We are an active church and active in the community! Today is our Service Sunday so we are doing work to share God’s love with this world and our community. We invite you to chose a service to provide in your area. Pick up groceries for a food pantry, mow your neighbors lawn, write a card to someone you are missing, visit a friend in a nursing home, help in big or small ways as you can. Let God’s love shine in this world, that needs it so much!
