Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational fellowship that focuses on the building of the body of believers to strengthen their relationshp with Jesus Christ. We Believe that teaching the Word of God to the people of God equips them to spread the Love of Jesus Christ. Jesus said in John 13:35 "By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another."

Sin does have the upper hand over a person who is under law. Why? Because the law tells him what to do but doesn’t give him the power to do it. And the law stirs up desires within human nature to do what is forbidden. It’s the old story that “forbidden fruit is sweet.” Sin does not have dominion over the person who is under grace. The believer has died to sin. He has received the indwelling Holy Spirit as the power for holy living. And he is motivated by love for the Savior, not by fear of punishment. Grace is the only thing that really produces holiness.
Challenge:
I have always loved the simple definition of grace being “God Riches At Christ’s Expense.” You see, when the Apostle Paul asked Jesus to remove his suffering and his thorn in the flesh in 2 Corinthians 12:9 Jesus lovingly told Paul “My grace is sufficient for you.” Jesus is saying the same thing to you today. Sin no longer has a grip on your life for you are under the grace of your Savior Jesus. Every moment of everyday you can count on the grace of God that is sufficient for you and your suffering or season in life. Your challenge today is to live under the wonderful grace of the Lord. When life comes at you and overtakes you, remind yourself of His sufficient grace. When life seem out of control and you don’t think you can take another step, tell yourself that His grace is sufficient for me and all my pain. Thank God today that you are not under His law but under His amazing grace. Embrace that grace and may the Lord bless you always.
