Shabbat is even sweeter when it's shared.

After services, our Micah-Nections community gathered around the table for a beautiful evening of good food, great conversation, and new friendships. From dinner and s'mores to plenty of laughter, it was a wonderful reminder that Jewish community is built one Shabbat at a time.

We’re gathered for our annual planning week, taking time to reflect, collaborate, dream, and prepare for the year ahead. Every discussion centers around one question:

How can we continue to strengthen and enrich our Congregation Micah community?

Tonight, we welcome to Shabbat services. Nashville in Harmony (NiH) was founded in 2004 as Tennessee’s first musical arts organization specifically created for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions, and their allies. With a mission of using music to build community and create social change, NiH brings people together within both the LGBTQIA+ community and the community at large.

The Jewish value of b'tzelem Elohim teaches that every person is created in the image of God.
At Congregation Micah, we believe our community is stronger when people can show up as their full, authentic selves and know they are welcomed, valued, and celebrated.
As we recognize Pride Month, we celebrate the diversity of our community and reaffirm our commitment to creating a congregation where everyone belongs.

We are saddened to share the passing of Justin Joel Cohn, son of Micah members Diane and Gerald Cohn; and brother of Jason and Jacqueline Cohn.

Justin passed away on Saturday, May 23. A memorial service will be held tomorrow, May 28, at 1 PM at Congregation Micah.

Zichronam Livracha - May their memory be for a blessing.

We send our heartfelt condolences to Justin's family and friends.
